Katia Sokolova-Zizak

    She was born in a family of artists in Ukraine. Her grandfather Nikolay Sokolov is a prominent cartoonist. Her father, Mikhail Sokolov, is a prominent painter. Her great-grandfather is the first Russian Nobel laureate, physiologist I.P. Pavlov. She is a graduate of the Stroganov Academy of Arts in ceramics. She has been living in Poland since 1986. She is a member of the Union of Polish Artists. She is a participant in many international meetings and symposia. For several years, she participated in the Vistula and Sputnik festivals and held 6 individual exhibitions together with them. In total, she is a participant in 30 individual and about 300 mixed exhibitions. She is an active member of the International Decentrism Art group. She is the laureate of 2012 LABOR OMNIYA VINCIT silver medal. Her articles are regularly published in the Polish magazine Szklo and ceramics. Her works are preserved in private collections and some museums in Latvia, Russia, Czech Republic, and Poland. She is an Honorary member of  the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan.
