The opening ceremony of the graphic exhibition “Call – symbols lost in the void of time and space” by Honored Artist Ulviyya Hamzayeva was held at the National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan

On January 22, the opening ceremony of the graphic exhibition “Call – symbols lost in the void of time and space” by Honored Artist, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Artists’ Union, MP Ulviyya Hamzayeva was held at the National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by well-known public and cultural figures, MPs, intellectuals and numerous other guests.

🖼️Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Director of the Azerbaijan National Art Museum Shirin Malikova, People's Artist Salhab Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan Bahar Muradova, MPs Hijran Huseynova and Elnara Akimova emphasized that Ulviyya Hamzayeva has distinguished creativity in modern Azerbaijani fine art, and that her works, which have a deep meaning and content, draw strength from our rich artistic traditions formed over millennia.

🎤Finally, the floor was given to Honored Artist Ulviyya Hamzayeva. At the artist's suggestion, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the 44-day Patriotic War. Ulviyya Hamzayeva expressed her deep gratitude to the curators who valued her creativity, the Azerbaijan National Art Museum for the high organization of the exhibition, and everyone who attended the opening ceremony, and invited them to get acquainted with the exhibition.

🖌️The exhibition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, showcases more than 50 graphic works by the artist.

🖼️The philosophical essence of the graphic works exhibited at the exhibition resonates with the spirit of Nakhchivan, which opened the world to its eyes and reached its full potential. The glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, the historical and cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan, the Covid-19 pandemic, the continuous visual flow of dreams and reality, together, are the leading themes, resulting from the artist's intense creative search.

The artist, who modernized our ancient artistic language in his graphic works, endowed them with the warmth of his heart and soul.
