A conference-exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Honored Artist Mammad Gasimov was held.

A conference-exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Mammad Gasimov, a prominent theater artist of Azerbaijan, the first chairman of the Nakhchivan Artists' Organization, and Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic, was held at the B. Kangarli Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Before the event began, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, our martyrs, and deceased artists.

Ulviyya Hamzayeva, Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Member of the Milli Majlis, provided information about the essence of the conference and the exhibition and declared the conference open.

Then, a video clip prepared by Araz Khudiyev reflecting the artist's life path and creativity was watched.

At the conference, Ali Gahramanov, an employee of the Nakhchivan Department of ANAS, a doctor of philosophy in art history, director of the Nakhchivan State History Museum, a member of the Unions of Artists and Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, art historian Fizza Guliyeva, People's Artist, actor and director Kamran Guliyev, Honored Artist of Nakhchivan Hamza Sadigov, and Art Worker of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Elman Jafarov made speeches and presented reports covering the life and work of Mammad Gasimov. The son of the jubilee, Alakbar Gasimov, made a closing speech at the conference and thanked the organizers for the event.

At the end of the conference, moderator Pinar Khanum invited everyone to see the exhibition.

The exhibition exposition presented about 70 works of the artist, including posters and announcements of performances covering different years.
