An exhibition titled “Friendship” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Venezuela was held
On May 13, 2025, an art exhibition titled “Friendship” was opened at the “Landmark” center, jointly organized by the Embassy of Venezuela in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan–Venezuela Inter-Parliamentary Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Venezuela.
The exhibition was officially opened by Venezuela’s first ambassador to Azerbaijan, Christopher Berroteran. In his speech, he spoke about the sincere and productive relations established between the two countries and shared his impressions of the exhibition.
Later, Tamam Jafarova, head of the Azerbaijan–Venezuela Working Group of the National Assembly, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of diplomatic relations between our countries, the parliamentary visit to Venezuela earlier this year, and the organization of the exhibition.
The curator of the exhibition, member of the National Assembly’s Committee on Culture, Honored Artist, and member of the Azerbaijan–Venezuela Working Group, Ulviyya Hamzayeva, stated that a total of 55 works by 32 artists from both countries were on display. According to her, this project is a beautiful example of effective cooperation in the field of culture and friendship between nations.
People’s Artist Arif Huseynov also delivered a speech regarding the exhibition, congratulated the participants, and expressed his wish for such an exhibition to be held in Caracas as well.
Members of the Azerbaijan–Venezuela friendship group and deputies – Mehriban Valiyeva, Aydin Huseynov, Zaur Shukurov, and Mushfig Mammadli – also took part in the event. They presented diplomas to the artists and highly praised their work.
After the official speeches, the participants viewed the exhibition. Representatives of state and non-governmental organizations, cultural figures, and artists also attended the event.
