ABAZERLI Babek Gazanfar oglu was born on February 23, 1944 in the city of Nakhchivan and died on January 30, 2000 in the same city. Artist. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade (1964-1968). He was a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan (1973). In 1989-2000, he was elected chairman of the Nakhchivan Organization of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. The Nakhchivan theme dominates in his work. His works are dominated by portraits of simple Nakhchivan people, thematic compositions reflecting their life and way of life, and charming landscapes of Nakhchivan. His works include “Winter”, “January 20”, “Fire to the Window”, “Nahajir”, “Gamigaya”, “Garatepe”, “Haja Mountain”, “Waters of the Araz”, “After the Rain”, “Spring in the Mountains”, “Syrup Mountains ”,“ Vaykhir village ”,“ Spring ”,“ Old Ordubad road ”,“ Legendary mountains ”,“ Afternoon ”and others. Such works are distinguished by their laconic form and completeness of composition. The paintings have been successfully displayed in Nakhchivan, Baku, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Kharkiv, Tallinn, Tbilisi, Ashgabat, Urmia, Tabriz, Istanbul, Ankara, Kars, Igdir and other cities. His works are preserved in the Nakhchivan State Photo Gallery, the Artists' Union of Nakhchivan AR and many private collections.
