SEYIDOV Mirjalil Miralakbar oglu was born on February 22, 1948 in the city of Nakhchivan and died on June 18, 2009 in that city. Artist. Honored Art Worker of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (1982). He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade (1966-1972) and the Leningrad Higher School of Art named after V. Mukhina (1974-1979). He was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1981) and the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan (1991). In 1987-1989 he was the chairman of the Nakhchivan Organization of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. In 1999-2004 he worked as a teacher at the faculty of fine arts at "Agdeniz University" in Antalya, Turkey and in 2004-2005 as a head of the Department of Fine and Decorative-Applied Arts at the Institute of Art, Language and Literature of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS. At the same time, as a founding artist at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, he successfully staged plays such as Huseyn Javid's "Sheikh Sanan" (1982), "Mother" (1983), Mikail Mushvig's "Yene o bag olaydi" (1988) and others. He has held 11 solo exhibitions abroad. In particular, he was able to attract the attention of art lovers with his solo exhibitions in Bulgaria (1983), Turkey (1993, 1995, 1997. 1999-2004), the Netherlands (1999) and Germany (2000). From 1972 to the end of his life, he introduced and represented Nakhchivan artists at the Republican, All-Union and international exhibitions at the highest level. His works are published in the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Art Foundation, the Union of Artists of the former USSR, the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Europe and the United States, including Germany, Austria, France, Sweden, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, England, Bulgaria, Canada and Brazil. It is preserved in foreign countries such as Venezuela, Singapore, Israel, Turkey, Nakhchivan State History Museum, Huseyn Javid's House Museum, Julfa District Museum of History and Ethnography and many private collections.
