JAFAROV Elman Maharram oglu was born on July 5, 1951 in the city of Nakhchivan. Sculptor - artist. Honored Art Worker of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (1989). He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade (1968-1972) and at the Art Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Arts (1975-1980). He was a member of the Youth Department of the USSR Union of Artists (1980-1988). He is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan (1988) and the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan AR (2012). He worked as an art teacher at Nakhchivan city secondary school No. 1 (1972-1975). He is currently a teacher at the Department of Art of Nakhchivan State University (2021). The artist's works include the equestrian statue of "Babek" in Nakhchivan, the original version of the statue of "Dada Gorgud" (the current statue was re-woven in bronze in the People's Republic of China), the bust of "Mir Hasan Seyidov", "Idris Mammadov", "Jamshid Nakhchivanski". and bas-reliefs of “Abbasali Nazaraliyev”, a statue of “Babek” in Babek region, busts of “Vali Mahmudov”, “Babek Shahverdiyev” (Kultepe village) and monumental sculptures of “MHShahriyar” in Poldasht, Islamic Republic of Iran takes a special place. His paintings include “Homeland”, “Khudaferin Bridge”, “Last Meeting”, “Novruz Holiday”, “Nature Landscape”, “Shoemaker”, “Ancient Pattern”, “Nalband”, “Vineyards”, “Gathering Grass” His paintings are distinguished by their rich composition and richness of color effects. His works are preserved in the Nakhchivan State History Museum, Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, Huseyn Javid's House Museum, Jamshid Nakhchivanski Museum, Babek District History and Ethnography Museum and many private collections.
