Artist - sculptor Huseyngulu Aliyev, was born on February 3, 1949 in Bist village of Ordubad city, one of the ancient and beautiful corners of Nakhchivan.

In 1975 he studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade.
In 1978 he continued his education at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts,
Returning to Nakhchivan in 1982, he worked as a fund manager at the Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, since 1989 as a chief artist of the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, in 1988 as an Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan, in 1999 as an Honored Artist of Azerbaijan , In 2000 he was the chairman of the Artists' Union of Nakhchivan AR, in 2002 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan, in 2003 he was appointed the head of the Department of Fine Arts and Painting of Nakhchivan State University, in 2008 the associate professor of Nakhchivan State University.
Since 2017, he is a professor at Nakhchivan State University.

He is a member of the Union of Theater Figures of Azerbaijan, the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.
