The festival-symposium was organized by Fethiye Maritime Trade Department and Fethiye Municipality.
On the first day of the event, Assistant Mayor Yavuz Topates and Head of the Fethiye Culture Committee Halime Ok warmly welcomed our artists and talked about future cooperation. The festival was held in the Aegean, White Sea waters, both on the water and underwater in two parts. The concept of this festival, held in Turkey for the first time in the world, is to draw attention to the seas, world ecology, environment and natural beauty. The program of the festival, curated by Fethiye Municipality Alim Karaca and artist-poet Mina Sarmish Chaylak, first included an excursion to the historical sites of Fethiye, and participants were given detailed information about the history of the beautiful city. As the main part of the festival is held at sea, the participants held a plenary session on two ships, as well as special exercises for a plenary session under the sea. The exercises were conducted by professional divers for 2 days, not too deep. In the following days, oil paintings were painted on special canvases underwater. Our underwater plein air artists have successfully coped with an interesting and labor-intensive process. The works of our artists, both on water and at sea, were admired by the audience. Murad Nurlu's "Port of Fethiye", a member of the Artists' Union, was selected for the cover of the Maritime Trade Department's magazine published in Fethiye.

Despite the hard work of our artists, November 9, "National Flag Day" was celebrated in the company of our artist friends. At the end of the plenary session, Mayor Alim Karaca (Mayor made a portrait of Ataturk under the sea), the governor and the head of the Fethiye Maritime Trade Department Shaban Arikan met on the ship and discussed the progress of the festival. The closing event-exhibition of the Art Festival-Plenary was held. The exhibition was held at the exhibition hall of the Fethiye Municipality. Mugla Governor Esengul Cevilek attended the closing ceremony. At the closing ceremony, the governor delivered a speech and thanked the artists participating in the Festival. In particular, gratitude was expressed to MPs-artists who supported and participated in the event. After the speeches, the artists were presented with plaques, gifts, and a red ribbon was cut to declare the exhibition open. After the exhibition, a symposium entitled "Protecting the Environment" was held in the conference hall under the auspices of the Vice-Rector of Bodrum-Mugla University Tuncay Kuleli. The event ended with a banquet organized by Fethiye Municipality Alim Karaca. About 90 works by 14 artists have been exhibited at the exhibition.
