On June 10, 2020, an exhibition entitled "My Glorious History" dedicated to the June 15 National Salvation Day was organized by the Artists' Union of Nakhchivan AR in the exhibition hall named after B. Kangarli.

The exhibition was opened by the chairman of the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan AR, honored artist Ulviya Hamzayeva, who greeted the guests and made a speech:

June 15, 1993 entered the history of Azerbaijan as the Day of National Salvation and our statehood was saved from the threat of extinction. The national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, with his rescue mission, protected the independence of our country, overcame the socio-political crisis in the republic and laid the foundation for development. Today, the triumph of the ideology of national salvation is reflected in the sustainable development of our independent republic, and Azerbaijan's prestige in the region and the world is growing.

The philosophy of national salvation ensured the existence of Azerbaijan in the broadest sense of the word, its independence, which is its greatest historical achievement. Returning to power for the second time at the insistence of the people, Heydar Aliyev was elected chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan on June 15. Despite the great risks, the Great Leader courageously undertook the mission of salvation of the people. Thus, the long-lasting tension and confrontation in the country has subsided, and our republic has escaped the threat of civil war and disintegration. Thus, this important historical day has been engraved in the memory of our people as the Day of National Salvation and has been celebrated as an official holiday since 1997 by the decision of the parliament.

In his speech at the meeting of the Milli Majlis on June 15, 1993, the Great Leader announced the future development strategy of the Azerbaijani statehood and implemented it in the following years. If gaining independence was a precondition, the second important task was to preserve and develop it, and this became a reality thanks to the will of the National Leader. Heydar Aliyev created the concept of our national statehood. Despite all obstacles, socio-political stability was restored in the country as soon as possible. The AXC-Musavat government, of course, was jealous of Heydar Aliyev's success and tried to prevent him. Out of patience, President Heydar Aliyev addressed the nation on television. On June 20, he held a briefing for local and foreign journalists to inform the world community about the realities of Azerbaijan. On June 21, he met with diplomats from a number of countries. The policy pursued in this area freed the republic from the information blockade. The opinion about our country in the world has changed for the better. It was in such a complex political environment that Heydar Aliyev's great potential became the guarantor of Azerbaijan's independence. The personality of the national leader, his unique political leadership, charisma, determination, foresight put an end to the crisis, our people united around the ideas of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanism. Thanks to the wisdom and determination of the national leader, the civil conflict in Azerbaijan was ended once and for all, our country was saved from chaos, political strife and socio-economic crisis. Azerbaijan began to develop as an independent, democratic, legal and secular state. The problems facing the republic were gradually resolved, peace and political stability were established. A fundamental turn has begun in the socio-political, socio-economic, scientific and cultural life, the integrity, solidarity and national unity of our people have been ensured, and Azerbaijan's integration into the world community has begun.

Today, the worthy successor of the political course of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, has not only implemented the ideas of Heydar Aliyev, but has been able to bring them to a new and higher level.

Today we are! We must remain faithful to the ideas of the Great Leader and unite closely around our President and the leader of the Autonomous Republic.

The return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power in Azerbaijan on June 15, 1993 is a glorious page in the history of our statehood. Our esteemed people do not forget the services of the great savior and celebrate June 15 - National Salvation Day every year with high spirits.

An exhibition entitled "My Glorious History" dedicated to the June 15 National Salvation Day is being held at the exhibition hall named after B. Kangarli of the Artists' Union of Nakhchivan AR. In accordance with the theme, along with thematic works, paintings reflecting the landscape of our native land are displayed in the exhibition exposition. The exhibition features about 28 works by 14 artists. The exhibited works have been developed in different sizes and in different techniques.
