"Encyclopedia of Nakhchivan artists" was presented.

The presentation ceremony of "Encyclopedia of Nakhchivan Artists" was held in the Bahruz Kangarli Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Speaking at the event, Emin Mammadov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy Issues and Work with Public Organizations of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said that the development of culture, art, including fine arts in Azerbaijan is connected with the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and his comprehensive statehood activities. During the leadership of the great leader to our country, special attention was paid to the development of culture and fine arts, numerous cultural centers and exhibition halls were established, and the creative process in the field of painting expanded widely. Today, in our country, as well as in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the traditions founded by our national leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of culture and art are continued, the art of creative people is supported, measures are taken to preserve and develop the art school with a rich past. It was noted that in accordance with the relevant orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mr. Vasif Talibov, the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was named after Bahruz Kangarli, the Children's Music and Art School in Nakhchivan city was named after Ertogrol Javid, and the Bahruz Kangarli Museum was established in the city of Nakhchivan, named after Bahruz Kangarli. A park of artists was created and a statue of a famous artist was placed in the park. Besides, during the past years, the anniversaries of prominent artists, the 40th and 50th anniversaries of the Union of Artists were widely celebrated in the autonomous republic. In 2013, the Association of Artists of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was provided with a new building. It was emphasized that the expansion of creative opportunities of artists in the autonomous republic was taken into account, workshops with all kinds of conditions were made available to artists, individual exhibitions of artists were organized, album catalogs were published, and artists distinguished by their activities were awarded honorary titles. In the autonomous republic, attention was also paid to the discovery of talented young artists and their deeper study of the art of painting, teaching in relevant specialties was conducted at Nakhchivan State University and Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute, and necessary conditions were created for the activity of painting associations in extracurricular educational institutions. The high-level organization of "Nakhchivan-Cradle of Humanity" International Art Festivals in the autonomous republic is also an expression of the concern for visual arts in the autonomous republic.

It was brought to attention that the presentation of the "Encyclopedia of Nakhchivan Artists" today is a continuation of the successes achieved in this field. Encyclopedia According to the "Plan of Events" approved by the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated March 2, 2021 "On holding the 50th anniversary of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", the Knowledge Fund under the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences It was prepared by the Nakhchivan Department and the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Emin Mammadov wished the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and artists success in their future activities and creative achievements. Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulviyya Hamzayeva, evaluated the encyclopedia, which has a wide database of information about the artists of Nakhchivan, prepared by the Union of Artists of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, as a significant contribution to shedding light on the creativity of artists from Nakhchivan and the development of art in Nakhchivan. Academician Ismayil Hajiyev, chairman of Nakhchivan Department of ANAS, pointed out that the encyclopedia has an informative function for scientists and artists, intellectuals, and will play an important role in passing on the artistic path of Nakhchivan artists to future generations. The speakers expressed their gratitude to the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the special attention and care he showed to the development of science and art in Nakhchivan. Members of the Union of Artists - Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Telman Abdinov and Shamsiya Zalova said that their creative activities are reflected in the book and expressed their gratitude for the attention paid to their activities. Then the encyclopedia was presented to the members of the Union of Artists, and there was a viewing of the exhibition of paintings by the members of the union.
