Turkish artist Nilgün Ayşecik Çevik's work dedicated to Momina Khatin's tomb was donated to the "Khan Palace" State History-Architecture, Momina Khatin and Open-Air Museum Complex.
On this occasion, on September 21, at the ceremony organized at the "Khan Palace" State History-Architecture, Momina Khatin and Open-Air Museum Complex, Asip Kaya, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, MP Ulviyya Hamzayeva, artists, culture and public representatives participated.
Piri Nagiyev, the Head of the Office of the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, who opened the ceremony, spoke about the services of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of museology.
Emphasizing that Momina Khatin's tomb, which is considered one of the masterpieces of Azerbaijan's statehood history, architecture, attitude towards women and mothers, has influenced the creativity of artists even today, brother Piri Nagiyev emphasized the painting of Nilgün Ayshecik Chevik, one of the country's well-known brush masters, "Khan's Palace" State History-Architecture, Momina Khatin and emphasized that it was very gratifying to be exhibited at the Open Sky Museum Complex, thanked the author and Ulviyya Hamzayeva for donating the painting to the museum.
Ulviyya Hamzayeva, speaking about the history of the creation of the painting and the technique of development, pointed out that the work "Momina Hatun's tomb" is a unique work that combines modernity and antiquity. The artist made his painting on canvas with marbling and acrylic paint during his participation in the "Nakhchivan - the Cradle of Humanity" International Painting Festival.
Then the Consul General of Turkey in Nakhchivan, Asip Kaya, spoke about the fact that the tomb of Momina Khatin was copied on canvas by many Turkish artists and said that he felt proud that the work of a Turkish artist would be displayed in such a historical place.
