The 125th anniversary of prominent artist Ibrahim Safi was solemnly celebrated in the Nakhchivan State National Drama Theater named after Jalil Mammadguluzade by the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

As part of the anniversary, an exhibition of 20 reproductions of Ibrahim Safi's works was organized and the newly published book "Ibrahim Safi: Painter-Impressionist" by Honored artist Ulviyya Hamzayeva was presented.
Before the event, the guests got acquainted with the exhibition and received extensive information about the artist's work.
Academician Ismayil Hajiyev, chairman of the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, opened the event with an introductory speech and gave extensive information about the outstanding artist.

Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis Ulviyya Hamzayeva, Researcher of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature of the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS Shamsiya Zalova spoke.

Art critic Nizami Aliyev, chief fund custodian of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, presented Ulviyya Hamzayeva's book "Painter-Impressionist" and made a wide speech about the book.
At the end of the event, Mehabbat Safiyeva, grand-daughter of Ibrahim Safi's uncle, gave a speech and thanked for the event and book presentation held on behalf of the Safiyev family.
In the end, a video prepared by the Nakhchivan MR Film Fund on the artist's life and work was watched.
