Creation of artist Ali Safarov

Ali Safarov, one of the present-day masters of the Nakhchivan school, which has a special place in our national fine art, created historical plaques and an incomparable painting chronicle with his artistic idea, love for his native land and the power of his talent.

Ali Safarov was born in 1954 in the city of Nakhchivan. In 1978, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Art School named after A. Azimzade with the specialty of artistic designer, and worked as a designer-artist at glass and aluminum container factories in Nakhchivan. In 1983-1987, he provided stage design and costume sketches for about 60 plays in the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater, in the Nakhchivan State Puppet Theater named after M. T. Sidgi in 1990-2012, and then in the People's Theater of Babek region, where he worked as a set designer. . He is a member of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, Union of Artists of Nakhchivan MR and Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. In addition to being a theater artist, he also works as a graphic artist and painter today. In addition, he created various works in the miniature genre.

An artist with strong artistic thinking and imagination, first of all, very rich scientific and historical knowledge, deep familiarity with traditions and nationality, outlook and wide reading are the most important factors that shape his creative identity. Because being an artist does not only mean loving our rich history, traditions, homeland and its incomparable beauties, it also means glorifying it, making young people love it, and promoting it. This is also the artistic mission of Ali Safarov. Even without traveling to the beautiful corners of Nakhchivan, we see and admire its landscapes.

In this regard, the artist's works include "Trees", "Walk", "Snake Mountain", "Landscape", "Nahajir Mountain", "Winter in Nakhchivan", "Golden Autumn", "Ordubad Mountains", "Mountain Village", "Floating Island", "Batabat", "Alinja", "Vaykhyr lake", "Sharur yallisi", "My fairytale world", "Shahbuz road", "Spring rain", "Celebration in Nakhchivan" and many other paintings are worthy of praise.

Ilanli dag (Hacha dag) of Nakhchivan, surrounded by invincible, majestic, charming and enchanting mountains, inspired many artists and became the protagonist of various legends. According to legend, the fissures on the top of this mountain were created during Noah's Flood. The pleasant and harmonious combination of pleasant colors from Ali Safarov's palette with jagged rocks is a sweet fairy tale-like description of the "Snake Mountain" composition born in the world of dreams.

Another mysterious wealth that charms everyone with its nature, "Mount Nahajir" - has found its rightful place in the artistic creation of an eloquent painter. In the composition, we see the old Nahajir mountain surrounded by flirtatious clouds. As if painted by divine power, this nature plate has become an artistic symbol of the land of the brave, the land of the flying eagles.

Kemki Mountain, heralded by its snowy peaks, did not escape the brush of Ali Safarov. The generous breath of God can be felt in the magnificent appearance of this Ordubad mountain, whose peak has passed the cloud...

The source of beauty of the artist, who glorifies his most sublime feelings with rural landscapes, is hidden in those landscapes and becomes a mystery. One of such landscapes is the work "Paragachay". The artist's sense of color is admirable.

The name of another wonderful landscape where the Burma-Burma roads lead is "Bilav". The artist has torn the village of Bilav from the legends and brought us a "share" for us. The melancholy and lyrical song of this scene, where the wind refrains from combing such strands, is pleasing to the eye.

"Ganligol Plain" is one of the most interesting works of the artist, whose slope and mane are intoxicating at first glance. It is possible to hear the joyous dance of colors and shades in the art board, which immerses its viewers in imagination. How difficult it is to add words to the beauty of this meadow with rivers and streams. In this scene where the clouds are in the sky and the bushes are moving on the ground, it is as if the image of the immortal poets is overshadowed.

The composition is set in the midst of the rocks, and the scene of nature falling asleep - "Lake Vaikhyr" seems to have become a pattern in the artist's work. The flirtatious clouds play with the warm nature in the colorful landscape scene. The work "Alinjachay" where the raging waters make a bed is a picture of a "whimsical" river winding towards the mountain visible on the horizon, resolved with strong colors.

Ali Safarov, who also transferred the coral-eyed Batabat, one of the natural wonders of Nakhchivan, to the canvas touches the hearts of both art lovers and nature lovers with this landscape. The artist has skilfully depicted the trees, shrubs, bushes, and peaceful trees that grow in these lands where the water is silty.

Another valuable nuance in the work of the master artist is the presence of a miniature atmosphere in his works. In this regard, the artist created "Patience and Time", "Sattar", "World of Fairy Tales", "Nizami", "Azerbaijan", "Homeland", "Shahriyar", "Land of Geniuses", "Thought", "Mirza Jalil", "Daddy

Gorgud Harayi", "Fuzuli" and other works attract attention with their rich compositional layout, harmonious color choice and strong structures from an artistic and aesthetic point of view.

It is possible to find domestic themes and scenes with plots in the artist's work.

"Baghda (First Sustenance)" is one of the interesting works that stand out among them for its sincere singing. The first bar, which is a gift of radiant nature to us, is in harmony with the colors flowing from the artist's brush. A beautiful Azerbaijani lady sounds very nice with the first "nubar", which heralds the elegance of an oriental woman.

In general, the works of the artist, who transfers the images of women to the canvas with special elegance, such as "Girl with an apple", "Girl with a pot from the water", "Carpet girl" and "Waiting" are a clear example of his concept of beauty and virtue, the criterion of artistic and aesthetic taste.

Another work with the same sincere melody is the composition "With a shepherd dog". As if the sound of a burning pipe greets us... The image of a young shepherd sharing the song of his heart with nature on a slope with flowers like a carpet with his dog falling tiredly on the mountain breast is solved with special plasticity and meek pathos.

The theme of mugham, which is our cultural wealth, shines brightly in the rich creativity of a skilled brush master. Mugham dasgah is played in the composition called "Uchluk". When looking at the composition of the artist, who gets energy and happiness from the sound and unity of the mugham, the spirits that appear in the language suddenly express all the charms and spells in themselves.
