IV INTERNATIONAL ART FESTIVAL “NAKHCHIVAN-CRADLE OF HUMANITY” DEDICATED TO THE 95TH ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV

The IV International Art Festival "Nakhchivan - the cradle of humanity", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, was held with the support of the Knowledge Foundation under the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Since the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, culture, art, as well as fine arts have undergone a great development. During the first and second periods of national leader Heydar Aliyev's leadership in Azerbaijan, a new stage in the development of national culture and fine arts began, the state's care for the development of art increased, and the creative process expanded. Drawing attention to the great development of Azerbaijan's fine arts, national leader Heydar Aliyev said: “Azerbaijan School of Painting and Fine Arts has taken a worthy place in the world. In a short historical period, a beautiful, strong school of fine arts and a school of painting were established in Azerbaijan. ”

Consistent measures have been taken in the development of painting and fine arts in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Thus, the museum of Bahruz Kangarli, the first realist artist of Azerbaijan, the founder of professional bench painting, the Bahruz Kangarli Exhibition Hall of the Artists 'Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was established, the specialties of fine arts and painting were opened at Nakhchivan State University and the Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute. Comprehensive conditions have been created for the training of young artists and the teaching of painting at the Heydar Aliyev Children and Youth Creativity Center, the Ertogrul Javid School of Music and Arts and the Bahruz Kangarli School of Art in Sharur. In addition, the Nakhchivan State Art Gallery, 10 out-of-school institutions and 3 children's art schools operate in the autonomous republic. The Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as increasing the creative opportunities of artists living and working in the autonomous republic, creating favorable conditions for them, also paid attention to, a new building for the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was commissioned in 2013. In the Autonomous Republic, the old workshops where artists work have been replaced by new ones. The celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Artists' Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated July 23, 2011 is a visual manifestation of the state's care for art in the autonomous republic. The opening of the Artists' Park named after Bahruz Kangarli in Nakhchivan on May 25, 2016 and the erection of a monument to the prominent artist here is also an expression of the care shown to the art of painting in the autonomous republic.

The Nakhchivan-Cradle of Humanity International Art Festival, the opening of individual exhibitions of artists, the preparation and publication of album-catalogs of classical and modern representatives of Azerbaijani painting since 2012 are important factors determining the level of fine arts in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Today, ancient Nakhchivan has become a great creative site. The examples of construction and landscaping carried out here are a great history for the future. This history is passed on to future generations not only in the works of experts, but also in the works of creative people. The holding of the IV International Art Festival "Nakhchivan - the cradle of humanity" in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is of special importance in this regard.

The festival, held in the Ajami Park of Culture and Recreation, gave the participants the opportunity to express their impressions of the great land in all its freshness.
