A magnificent exhibition-concert entitled “The Spirit of the Holiday: My Novruz” was organized at the Nakhchivan Artists’ Union on the occasion of Novruz Bayram, reflecting our national customs and traditions and the rich cultural heritage of our people.
Before the event began, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our heroic martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of our Motherland.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairperson of the Nakhchivan Artists’ Union, Member of the Milli Majlis, Ulviyya Hamazyeva, gave a speech and provided detailed information about the ideological content of the exhibition and the importance of such events in promoting our national values, and sincerely congratulated the participants and guests on the occasion of the holiday.
Then, the head of the Nakhchivan Military College under the National Defense University, Colonel Yashar Huseynov,
Director of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Administration of the National Depository Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan Arzu Isgandharova, Deputy Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Nakhchivan Ayşe Şengül Yıldırım, Coordinator of the Representation of the West Azerbaijan Community in Nakhchivan AR, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Süsänber Agamaliyeva, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University Javid Ismayilov spoke about the cultural and spiritual importance of the event, emphasizing that such projects play a special role in the upbringing of the younger generation in the national spirit.
After the speeches, the host Ismayil Mirzajanov announced the concert program. The classical guitarist and hematologist Mammadali Hasanov, who was invited to the stage, enchanted the audience with his elegant and emotional performance, adding a special atmosphere to the event under the sounds of sad music. His repertoire included selected examples of Spanish, Latin American and Portuguese music, which added variety to the event.
As part of the concert program, Ilknur Alizadeh also performed the work of the prominent Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov on the tar, "Baharımsan", which was met with great enthusiasm by the audience.
At the end of the event, a thematic exhibition organized with the participation of members of the Nakhchivan Artists' Union and young artists was viewed. In total, more than 40 works by 24 artists were exhibited at the exhibition, each of which reflected the freshness of Novruz, the awakening of spring and the subtle shades of the national spirit.
The "Holiday Spirit: Novruz" exhibition-concert was remembered as a memorable cultural event in terms of preserving our national values, developing art and forming aesthetic taste in our society.
